Anatoly rolled his eyes at Freddie's tone. The man was such a child sometimes, and even worse, he reveled in his own bad behavior. "I don't know why you expect my answer to change. I am the one telling the truth."

He resisted the urge to drum his fingers on the table in response to Freddie's baiting. He had to ignore him, rise above the petty challenges and quietly and efficiently demolish him. The problem was that though he invariably reminded himself of this, he had yet to carry it out all the way. But this time was different, wasn't it? They were in front of the board, perhaps the one thing they both respected.

He made his move, working up his own variation. He was willing to bet Freddie had never seen any of Kasparov's tactics.
